Order Confirmation:
As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase. As soon as we receive your order, we automatically reach out to our suppliers to confirm that it is in stock and available. If we learn your item is on backorder or unavailable and hasn't already been stated on the product description, we will reach out to you via e-mail.
When you place your order, the total will be charged on your choice of payment.
Once your sewing table has been crafted and ready to ship, you will receive another email with a tracking number to follow your order as it is shipped. Each company has a different time frame until they ship.
A General Introduction
Many of our products are custom made. That means that the products are not made until you order it. We do our best to keep each brand updated on the order page for what to expect for shipping times.
Our custom orders especially take longer to make. If your order is custom it can be as long as 20 weeks before it is shipped. But so worth the wait for the quality of the product!
When we ship a large custom-made Amish product, it is usually blanket wrapped and handled with care. Because we use some smaller companies that actually hand craft the products, you will not always get a tracking number. Nor will you get a receipt included with your shipment. Make sure you keep your email receipt. ( should you not receive an email receipt within 6 days, reach out to us at info@shesewingtables.com)
Since large furniture comes via truck, not UPS or FedEx, someone will need to be home when it is delivered to sign for the product. Provide as many phone numbers as possible to be sure the shipping company can contact you for delivery.
Shipping Furniture
EXPECT DELAYS. We are seeing shipping taking more time as more and more shipping lines are interrupted.
Shipping for large furniture is for curbside delivery. When the furniture is off the truck at the end of your driveway, the truck driver’s job is done. It is not the drivers obligation to remove the cabinets from the boxes, or wrapping, nor is it the drivers job to get the furniture inside your house. Usually the delivery company will make an appointment with a window of time for your delivery. Please read the entire shipping page to understand what your responsibilities are.
When you sign the delivery receipt from the freight company’s driver it is a legal contract signifying that you received the product in acceptable condition. ALWAYS INSPECT YOUR SHIPMENT BEFORE SIGNING FOR IT.
Be prepared to inspect your shipment before signing. Have a knife to cut off the packaging and any other tools that may be needed.
White Glove delivery has become increasingly difficult to purchase since the shipping companies do not want the liability of entering homes. For many areas it simply is not available. We would encourage you to hire a local handy man or mover to assist you in getting your shipment into your home.
Also be sure you have measured doorways, halls and stairs to know that your furniture will fit where it needs to go.
White Glove
White Glove delivery has become increasingly difficult to purchase since the shipping companies do not want the liability of entering homes. For many areas it simply is not available. We would encourage you to hire a local handy man or mover to assist you in getting your shipment into your home.
Please remember that White Glove does not mean faster shipping, it means your furniture will be brought into your home. All shipping has the possibility of delays.
Damage
If there should be a slight damage, where it could easily be replaced by you, take note on all copies you sign. It is your right to inspect the product. Do not sign for it, if the driver does not allow you to inspect it. Remember, signing is a contract. Should there be damage, a claim cannot be made to the freight company if it is signed as acceptable. Then you assume all responsibility.
Since custom orders are very specially made for your particular size or style choices they can not be returned. However. If the product is faulty in any way, please contact us and we will do our best to take care of the situation. We work with outstanding woodworkers, and they do an exceptional job, so it would be a rare need.

Description
Craftsmanship at its finest, the 165A cabinet offers real wood and the features you are looking for in an Amish made heirloom quality sewing cabinet. Completely closed it shows its beauty as a piece of sewing furniture that can double as a side table in a dining room or bedroom.
Numerous characteristics in the workmanship make this sewing cabinet stand out.
Full Extension drawers also have dovetail details that give strength to the corners of your drawers. With a total of 4 drawers, you can enjoy organizing your sewing supplies.
The doors have magnets inset into the wood to help the doors close properly. When the doors swing back against the cabinet, the magnets help them to stay put - out of your way to sit and sew.
Solid wood is used on the top, fronts, and sides. The Back of the cabinet and the bottom are made of plywood. There is no veneer used at all.
As a small woodshop, attention to detail is their expertise at Flat Ridge Furniture. This keeps the quality of your sewing cabinet high. Utilizing their materials, waste is very minimal at this small shop even the drop-offs are burnt to provide heat in the shop. Efficiency is considered every step of the way by doing more at a time when it is possible.
A serger lift makes sewing and serging at the same cabinet a delight. Sew a seam, then turn to the right and your serger is right there to finish the seam. The serger table measures 13" W x 15" L. Most sergers can sit on the serger table as it is raised and lowered. There is a 23" clearance for your knees under the serger table from the side, and 24" from the front.
The 165A has a thread pull-out to help you with organizing all your beautiful thread collections. There are 5 rows of shelves to keep the threads within easy reach.
The top of the cabinet has extensions that fold out, giving you more room for all your sewing projects.
The sewing cabinet sits on soft-tread casters making it easy to move it around in your room. Locking casters are not necessary with such a solidly built cabinet - the weight keeps your cabinet in place unless you push it.
A wooden insert comes with this cabinet so that you can have a flat surface on top of the cabinet when your sewing machine is stored away.
A 24" kneehole gives you ample room to move in and out of your cabinet to sew. But if you want a bit more knee room, check out the Flat Ridge 154 Sewing Cabinet. It is the same cabinet with more legroom.
There is an optional 14" drop leaf for the full length of the base cabinet (not the flip-out extensions). This is supported by a wood corner in the center of the dropleaf.
The File drawer is a legal size (NOT letter size) and they file laterally.
The base price of this sewing cabinet is made out of Brown Soft Maple or Red Oak. You have options of more wood choices.
This custom-made cabinet takes about 10 weeks to be made for you.
You are Responsible to check the Sewing Machine Hole Size
Be sure to measure your sewing machine with all attachments removed. For the best fit, allow 2 extra inches around your machine for the insert to fit well. The extra 2" also allows room for your machine to raise and lower freely with the lift and the sewing machine cords.
The standard sewing machine opening size can be found in the specifications.
Wood Options
The price is for Brown Soft Maple or Red Oak.
Rustic Hickory, Regular Cherry, Hard Maple, and Quarter Sawn White Oak are also available. With the prices of wood being so volatile we need to ask for a quote on them before ordering.
Acrylic Insert
Sew Steady Cabinet Insets & Inserts are designed to fit your specific make and model of sewing machine and cabinet and fill gaps around your sewing area*, allowing you to work more efficiently and comfortably. They are made with one of the highest grades of acrylic.
All the inserts are designed based on having the accessory tray removed from the machine. The insert is designed to be perfectly level with the free arm of the machine. If you have a top-loading bobbin this may affect your use.
Occasionally those that are custom cutting the insert will have additional questions about your sewing machine, or the hole that they are fitting, and you will be asked more questions.
The lift is German-made. It is a pneumatic lift that is operated by pushing down a little (1/4" to 1/2") to release its current position. Once it is released, you can let it rise or push further down to lower your sewing machine.
There are three stoping spots that are adjustable for your machine.
- The highest is the free arm position
- Flatbed sewing is the middle position that is level with your sewing table. In this position, you will use an acrylic insert around your sewing machine.
- The lowest position is for storing your sewing machine away.
Serger Lift
To operate your serger lift, you pull it out, forward, and up until you hear a click signifying that it is latched. To put it down: with a hand underneath on each lever pull the levers forward to release and push down. It should almost go down by itself.
